One of the best parts of a Premier SIPs system is how easily the panels connect together. Due partly to how the panels connect, the installation of SIPs framing systems is much more efficient than other stick-framing methods. In fact, PBS SIPs structures are installed in days rather than weeks.
Premier Structural Insulated Panels are composed of two sheets of oriented strand board (OSB) structurally laminated and pressure-cured to a rigid core of foam insulation.
Premier SIP panels are joined together in one of three ways:
- 8' long by 3" wide block splines
- Dimensional lumber (2x4, 2x6, etc.)
- I-joists in 6-, 8-, 10- and 12-inch depths
